Acerle

Water, Soil, Sun

«I could not think of these three elements without wanting to unite them in my own way in a tale of nature, viticulture, passion and wine that I would like to share with you»

Valdobbiadene

A land naturally suitable

The Acerle winery is located in Santo Stefano in Valdobbiadene, at the centre of the historical production area of the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene’s Prosecco Superiore. The hills go from East to West, with a side facing South, where the vineyards enjoy the best sun exposure and a side facing North, mostly covered by woods. Here the wine’s culture has been well established for centuries and the secrets of tradition are passed down from generation to generation just like ours.

s
Handmade

The man and the landscape have shaped each other, the wine’s culture has been embedded for centuries in this territory and the steepness of the hills sometimes calls for an °heroic° viticulture, made of so much attention and effort. It takes about 600 hours per year to work one hectare of hilly vineyard

s
Unique microclimate

The position between the sea and the Pre-Alps assure a mild climate, with mild winters and hot but not muggy summers. The altitude also guarantees a constant ventilation which in turn leads to a good temperature range

a
Ancient Lands

The hills are characterized by a diversity of lands’ structure at times steeper at times more linear. A combination of very ancient soils, generally deep and fine texture, mixed with soils of marine origin, composed of marls and sandstones, less deep and more filtered.

Our Wines

Acerle Valdobbiadene DOCG

Acerle produces three versions of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Extra Brut, Brut and Extra Dry, obtained by a combination of vineyards locally grown for two centuries, of which the main variety is the Glera, that, as part of the regulations, is at least 85% of the blend, while in smaller quantities Bianchetta, Perera and Verdiso.
And a Valdobbiadene Superiore of Cartizze DOCG, in the Dry version, achieved with grapes grown in the historical family vineyard located in the summit of the Cartizze’s hill, 340 meters above the sea level
